As we near the end of 2022 \u2013 though we must remain cautious given the prevailing volatility in the markets \u2013 we wanted to take this final Post before Christmas to express our gratitude.<\/p>\n
First and foremost, we'd like to say thank you for following us, for those who have already taken the leap of trust \ud83d\ude09, and for supporting us with your numerous messages!<\/p>\n
Whatever unfolds in the final trading days of this year, one thing is certain: it will be a year to remember (I considered delving into the well-known grim statistics on this December 23, but I won't bore you \u2013 after all, it's Christmas time).<\/p>\n
On our end, Monocle Fund has maintained its pace towards the finish line, with a performance (A share) of -1.33% since the beginning of the year and +16.08% over the past 5 years as of December 21 (compared to -9.54% since the beginning of the year and -3.00% over 5 years for comparable funds in the Quantalys category). It's a realization that doesn't make us blush thus far but one that we are keen on improving.<\/p>\n
Rest assured, we eagerly anticipate the arrival of 2023 with bated breath and above all, to continue doing what we love: our disdain for the crimson hue.<\/p>\n
